Who Can We Trust?

A good question to ask whenver there is something important going on.

If one is doing something important and, especially, if there is a threat that someone else, who disagrees with what you are doing, might take advantage of information, it is ESSENTIAL that people with a need to know have the information they need.

Conversely, people who do not have a ‘need to know’, should NOT be given important information. In the military, this is referred to as OPSEC, OPerational SECurity. It’ is essential for the success of an operation.

We may be encountering something along an OPSEC failure with our current efforts. Of late we’ve had some ‘set backs’ in our effort to pursue an investigation of possible electoral fraud.

The latest came today when Troy Ard reported that the County Clerk had renigged on a promise to allow our team to look at some of the Eagle voting machines and ballots therein.

According to Troy’s report, last Wednesday evening, everything was ‘cool’. Chris ascerted her complete transparency. We set up a team to go in this afternoon.

Low and behold….Chris’ people refused to grant our people access until, get this, Tuesday of next week. This is a ‘stall’. Of the classic form. And it deserves someone filling out affidavits relating to all the facts surrounding the stall. Failure to do so will likely indicate someone is not really working ‘with’ us.

We need to talk about that. There are a number of questions that spring to mind.

None that I’ll address here, before I talk with a couple of other people…...

The ‘Stall’

What to do, in the face of Chris’ stall tactic.

According to certain sources, we’ve been told that, contrary to earlier reports, our team cannot access the balloting machines until Tuesday.

That gives us ONE DAY to review and document and file affidavits about issues we find. We have to have the affidavits to the Secretary of State no later than this Wednesday, around noon or shortly thereafter.

I think we should have the team go to the County Clerk’s office and demand access, FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING! Any refusal should be thoroughly documented.

Rhetoric and Intimidation

A rose by any other word is sometimes a weed.

We’ve received reports that certain representatives of campaigns were refused entry to the ballot counting at Pueblo County Courthouse on election night until a “background check” had been completed. Considering it was only address and voter registration information that had to be verified, we find the term “background check” a deliberate attempt at intimidation, and an insult, since there is a clear implication that the users of the term “background check” suspected the representatives of being criminals.

We’ve seen school board members recalled for less.

We ask the county clerk and recorder to chastise severely individuals under her direction who use insulting and intimidating language to anyone, especially constituents seeking to ensure that our democratic processes are carried out fairly and legally. Poll watchers and others are there to help the voting process, not hinder it, and deserve better treatment than suspicious references to “background checks.”

Who’s Watching the Store[age Area]?

Is anybody paying attention?

Has anyone seen anything going on at the balloting machine storage area?

Since we were denied access last Friday and put off, with the ‘stall’, until Tuesday, I’m wondering if there is any unusual activity going on in the storage area in our absence?
