2-1-1 for Southeast Colorado Needs Your Help
A message from Paul Brown asking for individuals to help establish 2-1-1 service in our area.
2-1-1 covers most of the United States, Colorado and now “2-1-1 for Southeast Colorado” is getting started. Region 7 will cover 11 counties: Baca, Bent, Crowley, Custer, Fremont, Huerfano, Kiowa, Las Animas, Otero, Prowers and Pueblo.
2-1-1 will be the number to call for free access to information and referral for local health and human services. It will help individuals and families find the right community organizations & government agencies to meet their needs. By making services easier to find, 2-1-1 will encourage prevention and foster self-sufficiency.
Our goal is to ensure that everyone in Region 7 has easy access to the 2-1-1 phone number and online database of comprehensive local health and human services by the year 2006.
We need interested individuals in all eleven counties to serve on the steering committee, and serve in other roles, to work with us to achieve this goal.
Please e-mail me or call me for more information if you are interested.
Also, please share this with anyone else who may be interested.
Sincerely,
Paul Brown, Chairman
2-1-1 Steering Committee
