Treasurer’s Report - $682.20

Old Business

Bylaws Committee – formed last year. Includes Susan, Heather and Janet. Board positions will be outlined and mission statement reviewed. All revisions will be presented to BOD for approval before presentation to general membership.

New Business

Action Concerning Parkview PUD
Lengthy, heated discussion involving concerns about procedures not being followed and due process not being allowed, creating the potential necessity for a rehearing for the PUD.
Items missing from the PUD include 1) impact statements for social, environmental, and public factors; 2) timelines for each phase of construction/development, 3) signage, lighting, noise, and odor were not addressed.

ACTION ITEM: Motion carried for Susan to write a letter for OHNO addressing the 3 issues missing in the PUD and concerns about PUD approval occurring before it was clearly defined. Letter to be sent to Jerry Pacheco, Dave Galli, and City Council members before October 27.
Parking concerns and traffic

Tabled to another meeting. Traffic committee needs to be involved in this issue. Chuck has some information from the Transportation Advisory Committee about traffic light synchronization, etc.from Pepper Whitlock, City Traffic engineer.
Committee Reports

Pueblo Neighborhood Partnerships sponsored candidate forum at SRDA on Oct. 16. Well attended.

Historic Preservation – the Northside Nomination vote is due Oct. 25 after continuation from last HPC meeting. Rosemount Historic District will be addressed soon.

OHNO Nominating Committee provided the following candidates for December’s slate. Ballots will be in the December newsletter with instructions for voting.
President: Angela Giron
Vice President: Yolanda Butler
Treasurer: Lamar Trent
Secretary: Janet Dash
Program: Heather Norton – in future the V.P. may do programs
Outreach/Social: Carolyn Lowrey
Communications: Christian Piatt, with Chuck Pelto continuing to print newsletters and Ted Freeman organizing block captains

Communications – Chuck is not in favor of releasing the member emails to individuals for community-wide announcements. An issue needs to impact OHNO directly before the emails can be released. BOD concurs.

Social Committee
Dessert and coffee at Ascension Church on Sunday Oct. 21 from 6-7:30. Please bring a dessert to share.

The Christmas Party will be Tuesday Dec. 4 in place of the formal OHNO meeting. It was suggested that the event be adults only and host homes are needed. Contact Angela or Carolyn.
A wine and cheese party will take place in November at Yolanda’s for new and old BOD members.

Other: Susan and Chuck Pelto are donating a 36x36 banner to OHNO for use at events. Printed with OHNO logo and name. Similar to PNP banner [Ed. Note: Used for the Pueblo Neighborhood Partnership Candidates Forum, last month.]

Adjourn at 9 PM

Respectfully submitted,

Janet Dash
OHNO Secretary
