  1. In the first week of May 2009, three daily walks were conducted in the Mesa Junction area of Pueblo. The walks were held on three consecutive days beginning May 5 at 10 a.m., 12 p.m. and 5 p.m.  Sixty people representing PACE, area residents, citizens interested in walkability and members of the Pueblo Historical Preservation Commission (PHPC) participated in the walks.  PACE members introduced participants to walkability concepts and key elements to look for while assessing a neighborhood. testking HP0-D04 Participants were given checklists to assist in their assessments, and included questions regarding safety and ease of the walk, sidewalk conditions, motorist awareness, neighborhood appeal and more. During the Mesa Junction assessments, guided tours were given by Wade Broadhead, city planner and PHPC member. testking 642-654 Broadhead shared historical information about the homes, streets, street signs, curbs and other aspects of the Mesa Junction neighborhood. The walkability concepts and the heritage tour made the challenges very fun, interesting and educational.
